- Active as volunteer community steward and working hard to protect wildlife and wetlands. In a protracted struggle with the City of Nanaimo over the development of Jingle Pot Marsh area. Recipient of the Nanaimo’s Volunteer Community Steward Award (2001) and government appointed Chair of the “Sooke Area Health Communities Task Force” (1993). A former school trustee, chair of a regional library board, and an Alumnus of Malaspina, now called Vancouver Island University. Working as a Certified Human Resources Professional.
